Alfajiri is the Swahili work for Daybreak. Our aim and passion is to bring a new dawn to all the people we work with , to explore talents, enhance self worth, and offer opportunities for lives of productivity and community. It is a great privilege to be part of this work and we hope for it to grow and extend in years to come.
"Working with Alfajiri, where we change kids' lives by rehabilitating and reintegrating them with their families, has had a ripple effect on me where I return home so fulfilled. It has also influenced the decisions I make in life since I am more informed from the experiences I get with these children."
"My love for Alfajiri as a karate coach/instructor and mentor is regularly seeing the kids being motivated to live out healthy and responsible lives."
"The Alfajiri mission brings me great joy. As I do this work, I have been impacted by seeing the children transform into participating and independent members of the community. I love seeing the kids realize that someone loves them, helping them get back on their feet, and giving back to the community. I am happy to be part of the team giving hope to these children."

"It has been an inspiring journey working with the kids - seeing them appreciate life and live with hope, love, and resilience in difficult circumstances. Through every challenge, they show incredible strength, and seeing them uphold their dignity and walk with confidence is what I love most. Every child deserves to feel valued, to dream, and to know they matter."
"It has been a humbling experience to learn little things go along way. I feel a've learned more from these young people than ever i could give to them. The kids need love to thrive, to know you care for them, this way they allow you into their personal space and their new dawn begin."
"Alfajiri has been very beneficial to me, giving me the ability to work with vulnerable families, handle crises in the community, and educate myself in art creation and advocacy. I am very grateful to Alfajiri for giving me the opportunity to be part of the team."
"Working with Alfajiri has been a blessing. It’s given me the chance to cook for the kids, learn new skills, and be part of a team that really cares about the community. I’m proud to contribute"
